This is a really RARE LOT! Pleasant Company’s American Girl Molly’s Raincoat or Slicker Outfit for GIRLS and DOLL. No longer available for sale from American Girl, this is a unique offering. For Girl Size Medium(Size 10-12) rain slicker, matching hat plus VERY rare schoolbag and umbrella. For Doll Slicker, matching hat, rain boots and umbrella for doll. The pebble textured SCHOOL BAG is in near perfect condition. There are no stains, fading or missing parts. The schoolbag has one large main compartment and 2 outside pockets. The length of the black strap is adjustable. The hardware on the back of the bag allows for the bag to adjust from shoulder to handheld or backpack. There is a large leather Pleasant Company patch or tag sewn on the front. An ID tag This Bag Belongs To… Inside the bag was written on in pencil. It has been erased though the indent of the lettering remains. The Pleasant Company UMBRELLA opens and closes with ease and the closure snap and strap are still intact. A large Pleasant Company Logo emblazons one panel of the umbrella. It is still a brilliant red, there is no fading or holes. The handle and shaft are a light wood or bamboo in color. The shaft did crack and chip at one time(underside, toward tip not handle)and daughter glued it back in place. Not a professional job, but it has held in place for years and is not terribly noticable. It does not detract or inhibit use of umbrella at all. The Pleasant Company SLICKER RAINCOAT(Size MEDIUM Fits Size 10-12)with black corduroy collar and includes the rare plaid, removable lining. The lining has black cloth loops that attach to buttons inside the coat. One side of one loop has become detached. The plaid lining is trimmed with black edging. A 1-1 1/2 section has separated. An easy fix, but my sewing is worse than my photography. The Slicker and matching HAT are in pretty great condition. There are no holes or dark stains. There is one pencil eraser size red dot(fading) on the front with hints of very faint red in the same area. It may be from the lining or sleeve during storage. The more predominant flaw is the red bleeding from the red plaid cuffs. The cuffs of the coat are meant to be worn rolled and visible. They were washed and stored in this position. The red has bled onto the yellow specifically along the seams of the cuffs. Very very faint, but completely encircles the cuffs. I have not tried to scrub it… Maybe with a “Magic Eraser” it could be removed. I have tried to capture the spots in the pictures, but they are all extremely faint. The Pleasant Company tag is missing on the coat but present on the hat. I guarantee that this is the authentic Molly’s Pleasant Company raincoat! I would rather overstate the flaws than have you or your child feel disappointed. This raincoat or slicker is wonderful and is in pretty wonderful condition too. The flaws do not detract from the look or wear of this Molly ensemble. Just in case, slicker does fit an adult. Pretty sure it would fit an adult size 8 – 10 EXCEPT for the sleeves! They would fit an adult more like a 3/4 length depending on your height or arm length. The Pleasant Company set for the Molly doll is also in very good to excellent condition. Only flaw is very small and faint ink squiggly on the inside of the slicker. Sale includes Molly’s slicker or raincoat, matching hat, red rain boots and umbrella. Raincoat is tagged Pleasant Company1996. There is no tag on the hat and the sticker on the umbrella is gone too. Boots have gold American Girl sticker and heel Velcro closureafter 2007.
